Ask an engineerHow many picks per minute can a robot do?
A delta robot handles 150–300 picks per minute on light products, a SCARA 60–120, and a collaborative arm 20–40. Where one robot is not enough, several work in series along the same belt.
Do we need vision?
Only if the product arrives in an unknown position. Fixtured or indexed parts can be picked blind, which is cheaper and faster; random belt or bin flow needs 2D or 3D vision.
Can it handle soft or sticky products?
Usually yes, but the gripper decides. We run a product trial with your real material before quoting, because bakery, meat and film products behave very differently from rigid parts.
Is it suitable for food contact?
Yes. We build in washdown-rated robots, IP69K options, food-grade suction cups and stainless frames where hygiene requirements demand it.
What accuracy can we expect?
Repeatability is typically ±0.05 to ±0.1 mm at the robot flange. Overall placement accuracy depends on vision calibration and gripper compliance, which we verify at commissioning.
